April Auger

April joined the Sorensen Institute in August 2008 and currently serves as Director of Programs. In this role she has primary responsibility for overseeing all of the Sorensen Institute's programs, including all program analysis and evaluation. She is also responsible for coordinating and executing recruitment and outreach efforts for all Sorensen programs.

April is a graduate of Lee University where she majored in Public Relations. She has been very fortunate to travel many places both abroad and within the U.S. Her travel experiences have broadened her perspective and thus created a deeper commitment to impacting those in her community. April spends much of her time volunteering for various organizations within the Charlottesville area. She recognizes the importance of strong, value-driven leadership, and that is what has drawn her to Sorensen.
