Name: Paul A. Miller
Age: 41
Born: Racine, Wisconsin
Current Digs: Clifton, Virginia
Occupation: President/CEO of Miller/Wenhold Capitol Strategies, LLC
Favorite part about the job: Interaction with some many different types of people on a daily basis
Your first job ever? I was a paper boy in Racine, WI. I had the job, but my parents did most of the work so I could go to basketball and soccer practices.
Favorite book? Vince Flynn Novels
Favorite movie? Godfather Series
Comfort food? Don't really have one
What's in your car CD player right now? To many on the iPod to list. Noting in the car - mainly listen to talk radio - Sports Junkies.
Next journey? I'd like to go on an African safari
Favorite Virginia vacation spot? Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown area
First political memory? I think for me there are two. First going to vote with my Dad. The second when I was a little older watching the hostages being released right after Reagan was elected President.
Whom do you admire and why? Ted Leonsis. He built a successful company the right way including community. He is one very successful businessman who has not forgotten where he came from and the people, who have helped him and who make his success possible. He is very accessible to the public and I appreciate that as a business owner and sports fan.
Best advice you ever got? If someone tells you something's not possible, work harder and prove them wrong.
If you could have dinner with any one currently living, whom would it be and why? Former VA Governor Linwood Holton. His experiences are fascinating to me. We had a chance to hear him speak recently, and I couldn't get enough of the stories he had about his early days. I have a lot of respect for him as a man who stood by his convictions and moved the Republican party forward in VA.
Describe a perfect day. Spending it with my two incredible little girls Taylor and Alexis.
One thing most people might be surprised to learn about you? I'm really not sure. This was the hardest question for me. I guess I'll have to leave that for everyone else to answer.
Ambition, political or otherwise? To continue to grow a successful business. I would also like to take our Hoops For Youth Foundation and make it a nationwide program that helps at-risk kids all across the country. Play a role in my community.
