Born: Richmond Heights, and grew up in Missouri/Cahokia, Illinois
Current Digs: Herndon, Fairfax County.
Occupation: Senior Member of the Technical Staff for Systems Planning Corporation providing consulting services to the US intelligence community.
Favorite part about the job? Interaction with young intelligence officers, mentoring them and helping them to be successful.
Your first job ever? I worked for my father’s direct mail advertising business loading mail sacks on trucks.
Favorite book?  Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Noël Adams
Favorite movie?  Forbidden Planet (1956)
Comfort food?  Outback cheese fries (fat, salt and calories, 2, 900, equivalent to 5 Big Macs).
What's in your car CD player right now? Eric Clapton, Eagles and Toby Keith
Next journey? Short term – sail the Chesapeake Bay from Solomon’s Island to Hampton Rhodes.
Favorite Virginia vacation spot?  Virginia Beach (Neptune Festival).
First political memory? Driving voters to the polls on election day at 16.
Whom do you admire and why? Ambassador John Bolton – a clear thinker who can expertly articulate his position on international issues.  He did an exceptional job at the UN advocating US policy even after being disrespected by the partisan US Senate.
Best advice you ever got? Hold tight to your principles.
If you could have dinner with any one currently living, whom would it be and why? Karl Rove – I would  love to hear the “inside baseball” perspective from the Bush administration.
Describe a perfect day. Morning on the Chesapeake Bay with my wife, taking my granddaughter to the circus in the afternoon, and dinner with my family.
One thing most people might be surprised to learn about you? I am a first-degree black belt in the Japanese martial art of Kendo.
Ambition, political or otherwise?  I have truly enjoyed my public service experiences, and I will continue to look for additional opportunities to serve my community and the Commonwealth.
