The Daily Press has endorsed Saundra Cherry (CTP Winter 2009) for City Council in Newport News. The election will be Tuesday May 4.

Mallory Johnson (CLP 2009) has been named a Governor's Fellow for the upcoming summer when she will work with the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office to continue her work on voter restoration rights, a project she began last year with CLP. Congratulations Mallory!

In a statement released late this afternoon, Governor Bob McDonnell has appointed Matt Conrad (PLP 2009) Assistant Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry.
