This edition of the PBS program Perspective with Barbara Berlin premiered this past Friday, Sept 22. Guests included Sean O'Brien, the Executive Director of the Sorensen Institute; Conaway Haskins, a graduate of the Political Leaders Program Class of 2006, who now serves as Deputy State Director for Senator Jim Webb; and Jeff Britt, a member of the Political Leaders Program Class of 2007, an Assistant Vice President at McGuireWoods Consulting and the former Political Director of the Republican Party of Virginia. The guests discussed the upcoming November 6 General Assembly elections, Virginia politics, and the Sorensen Institute.
Paul Harris, HSLP08 Graduation
Sorensen State Board member and former member of the Virginia House of Delegates Paul Harris was the keynote speaker at the High School Leaders Program Class of 2008 graduation ceremony this summer in Charlottesville. Paul discusses the background and significance of Sorensen's nationally recognized youth programs.

Alumni Reunion 2007 Awards
Saturday evening, October 6, the Sorensen Institute hosted its 2007 Alumni Reunion. Over two hundred alumni gathered at the Richmond Marriott to celebrate the continued achievements of Sorensen in the Commonwealth.
As is tradition, a number of alumni awards were handed out this year. This slideshow showcases all five alumni awards from this year's reunion. The Sorensen Institute's Coy Barefoot moderated the awards ceremony. Enjoy!
